18th Century Zombies - Found on etsy! Plemon Studios has some great work, and I love these portraits of our Founding Fathers.

Zombie Thomas Jefferson

Zombie Benjamin Franklin

Gift Guide for the 18th Century Enthusiast:

Tin Plates from The Frick. These plates are adaptations of 18th Century designs. Would make Spring picnicking very elegant!

The White Lady by kirby. This pretty abstract piece has the perfect hint of 18th Century style.

Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the Eighteenth Century - This one is definitely on my wishlist. I’ve seen some images from it, and absolutely love it. Perfect coffee table book, as long as you keep your drool off of it ;)

Trip to Los Angeles or Houston to see Paris: Life & Luxury

Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to visit this amazing exhibit at one of these locations next year. “Paris: Life & Luxury re-imagines, through art and material culture, the complex and nuanced lifestyle of elite 18th-century Parisians who made their city the fashionable and cultural epicenter of Europe.”

Lady Antoinette Earrings by Laboiteabijoux
Love these little earrings!

The Charleston Interior - J. Thomas Savage
Obviously a trip to Charleston, SC is recommended; but this book highlights the beauty of one of my favorite places.

French Aristocrats Shirt - of course I couldn’t make a gift guide without recommending one of our shirts ;)

What’s on your holiday wishlist?

Congrats to Ashley! You won the giveaway for this week!

And thank you to Elizabeth Ocean for the lovely giveaway - everyone go check out her store!

The giveaway for the last week of our anniversary month comes from ElizabethOcean . Her prints are whimsical, fun, and have a great 18th century flair!

You get to pick any 5 x 7 print from her Le Chapeau collection. Just leave a comment sharing which print is your favorite!

This contest is open to people in the US only. You have until August 30th 4pm to enter.

(one entry per person, please. Previous winners not eligible.)

I ordered a custom design recently from DiTriDesigns on etsy, and it arrived today! They designed this piece to match the logo and I am super super pleased!

It was actually bigger than I thought it would be, which was wonderful. I have a thing for the wax seal style necklaces and this is by far the largest one I have (and most special).

If you want to order anything from them, you can get 10% off your purchase if you mention that 18thCenturyHistory.com sent you!
