Diane Kruger on playing Marie Antoinette in Farewell My Queen:
…a lot of people already have opinions of this historical figure. They have already judged her. I was trying not to judge her…We have the same origins, the same age. I could relate to her as a woman.
I personally hate historical films where people just look at dresses and hair, I had to forget that to do the film…You need to see the woman Marie Antoinette, not just the queen.

The same orgins? Really, Diane Kruger? Last time I checked, you weren’t the 15 child of the Holy Roman Emperor.

If everyone thought like that, there wouldn’t be that Sofia Coppola film and this world would be a better place.
